Our Standard for living and guidance
We honor the entire word of God as the ultimate authority in all matters of doctrine and behavior.
We honor the perfect and complete work of Christ’s death, resurrection, and present ministry.
We make prayer a constant focus and a top priority at Open Heavens Church.
We endeavor in all areas of life to live dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit and to follow His guidance.
Christian Living
We greatly emphasize becoming a disciple (a fully devoted follower of Jesus) and, we value faithfulness and commitment to the cause of Christ and to the church family.
We also encourage a zealous devotion to the things of God.
We work hard to unleash the full potential of the church body, by equipping every individual and encouraging them to be responsible stewards of their time, talents, and treasures.
We value God’s redeeming love and saving grace and, we feel responsible to promote the spread of the Gospel throughout the world by every means available to us.
Church life
We believe in “team ministry” not the “one man show”
We believe that every member is a minister and honor servanthood. Everyone should be serving the needs of the church and community.
We want to cultivate a worldview of the kingdom of God and work hard to promote harmony and cooperation between Christians from other backgrounds, cultures, and traditions.
We highly value praise and worship which is often enthusiastic and jubilant.
We value the power and felt presence of the Holy Spirit.
Community
We continue to cultivate Christ honoring rolls and conduct in all relationships: marriage, neighbors, family, the church, and the workplace.
We gear much of our emphasis toward the youth and children. Our kids are a top priority.
