What Are Life Groups For?
Our vision for Life Groups starts with people understanding the beauty and the power of relationships that are rooted in the love of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is what helps us to bring the best out of each other as we cultivate healthy relationships in loving environments. We at Open Heavens Church realize the need to see people planted and bearing fruit. This comes as we learn to understand who we are and where we are going, and why God has placed us on this planet. Life Groups help us to change into the very image that Jesus designed for us. Come enjoy the beauty of discovering yourself and how you can be a blessing to others as you share and give your life to others.
At Open Heavens Church we believe that small groups are an essential element in the life of a healthy, vibrant Christian. Acts 2 gives us a picture of the first church. We see that they met together for large gatherings and they also met together in small gatherings in homes. Prayer, teaching, fellowship, and meals were central to their life.
In this atmosphere the church was a place where people continually found new life in Christ. We want to help you find a group close to your neighborhood where you can develop friendships and be a part of a family. It’s a place where you can grow in Christ.
What Are Life Groups Like?
- Life Groups are groups of 4 or more people.
- They meet together at different times, many meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 6 PM in designated homes.
- In Life Groups we have fun together, we build each other up, we encourage each other, and we also help with practical needs.
- Fellowship, prayer, worship and equipping people for the work of the ministry, Bible-oriented discussion, and personal ministry often take place.
- In Life Groups we are learning to share the love of Jesus with others.
The groups meet twice a month on the second and fourth Sunday evening at 6:00 pm. Dates and times may vary each month, be sure to check the Calendar on the website.
